2024 Programs for Students and Young Birders


Western Field Ornithologists starts the new year with three Zoom programs for students and young birders.

Saturday, February 10, 11:00 a.m. Pacific Time. Konshau Duman, a second-year PhD student at UC Davis in the Animal Behavior Graduate Group, will present his research on Red Crossbills and answer questions about field research and more! Friday, February 23, 4:00 p.m. Pacific Time. Beth Mendelsohn, research biologist with the Owl Research Institute in Montana, will talk about the institute’s work and about career pathways for students. Read about Maci MacPherson’s visit with ORI researchers. Register Here.

 Saturday, March 16, 11:00 a.m. Pacific Time. Lynette Williams Duman, who is working on her PhD in ecology at UC Davis, will discuss her path to graduate school and share areas of her research. Lynette is a new member of the WFO Board of Directors. Register Here.
