Diana Herron has been an avid birder most of her adult life. She has studied and enjoyed birds in southern California and Arizona, while occasionally birding farther afield in exotic places like Texas and Kenya. While living in San Diego, she was associated with the San Diego Natural History Museum for more than 25 years and loved leading bird walks in Balboa Park. In Arizona, she has led bird walks in the Flagstaff and Phoenix areas and is currently on the board of the Arizona Field Ornithologists. She lives in Scottsdale, Arizona, with her indoor cat Finley.
