Front cover photo by © Rob Fowler of McKinleyville, California: The fourth Little Bunting (Emberiza pusilla) recorded in California, at McKinleyville, Humboldt County, 12–21 December 2013. The species breeds in the Old World from northern Scandinavia east across Russia to the Anadyr River basin and occurs intermittently on St. Lawrence Island, Alaska, casually in northern Alaska and the western Aleutians, and as an accidental in the contiguous Pacific states.
